Brenda Yarrison is the author of Tales Along the Tracks, a compilation of short, historical stories about each of the small towns along the Northern Central Railway between New Freedom and Hanover Junction. The book contains rare photos and amusing anecdotes about the area and people who have lived in or visited each of the towns along this line. This book is available at the Glen Rock Hose & Ladder Co. Annual Christmas Train Display. The Train Display is located in the Hufnagel Public Library, 32 Main St., Glen Rock, PA 17327.
Brenda began researching and sharing stories of the Northern Central Railway while working for the Maryland Park Service, and creating history programs for the southern portion of the NCR trail. She continued her research while working as the first narrator on the Steam into History train.
Brenda is also an educator, a Civil War Reenactor, a rail-trail supporter, and a bike riding enthusiast.
